The IQ Air Perfect 16 air cleaner is effective only for dust removal. No provisions or features are included to address removal of live viruses, bacteria, mold spores or the odors that often accompany bacteria and mold.
It is impressive that there is an actual test report available on the manufacturers website. So often, we find outrageous claims by air cleaner manufacturers with no testing to back up their features.
The IQ Air Perfect 16 air cleaner is a well thought out product with features that make it very competitive with the Electro Breeze electronic air cleaner, but even with all those features and all the marketing behind them, you will still be money ahead by purchasing the Electro Breeze products.
Not considering the outrageous cost of the unit with its installation, the minimum cost of replacing the filters is in the neighborhood of $350 every three years. Notice that the 3-year lifespan of the filters is based on 50% usage. Your cost for the Electro Breeze replacement pads and bulb for three years would be almost half the cost of the replacement filters for the IQ Air Perfect 16 air cleaner.
The cost for the IQ Air Perfect 16 air cleaner plus the cost of a licensed contractor to modify your duct work to have it installed, can easily exceed the cost of purchasing the Electro Breeze Duct Mount UV kit as outlined in the sales brochure. Suggested cost is $2,695 - $3,195.
The IQ Air Perfect 16 air cleaner can easily be replaced for a fraction of the price, by the Electro Breeze air cleaner panel alone.
We would not recommend the IQ Air Perfect 16 air cleaner as the best solution for improving your indoor air quality.
