The Encore premium well water iron filters are designed to remove the iron and hydrogen sulfide (rotten egg smell and bad taste) that is typically found in well water systems. Since fluoride is not usually a problem with well water users, we replaced the fluoride water filter cartridge with an iron/hydrogen sulfide cartridge.
The well water iron filters will also remove or reduce up to 99% of water-soluble lead, mercury, nickel, chromium, and other dissolved metals. The filter for well water is also effective in controlling the buildup of bacteria, algae, fungi and scale.
The well water iron filters use the oxidation reduction method to remove chlorine, chlorinated hydrocarbons, hydrogen sulfide, iron, and metals like lead, arsenic, aluminum, mercury, and cadmium from water.

The Encore premium well water iron filter system meets or exceeds industry standards and, more importantly, our customers expectations. High quality replacement elements remove chemicals, cysts, heavy metals, bad taste, odors, chlorine and, has a stainless steel ultra-violet sterilization chamber, to kill bacteria and other micro-organisms.
The Encore premium well water iron filter system has three very important upgrades when compared to the Sun Pure SP-10 drinking water filter system. Those three upgrades include:
- All stainless steel ultra-violet sterilization chamber - This extends the life of the system as the stainless steel will not react to the ultra-violet as do the plastic components of the Sun Pure SP-10 drinking water filter system.
- Filter chambers that match the industry standard - Anytime you want to change your filter configuration to better suit your needs, any 2.5x10 inch will fit into the industry standard filter chambers. No special filter modules like the Sun Pure SP-10 drinking water filter system.
- Deluxe faucet - The deluxe faucet incorporates a ceramic disk valve. Ceramic valves are more durable over the long run in a broader variety of water conditions than any other variety of valve on the market.
